Es el testimonio de como el anuncio de la salvación cristiana, partido de Jerusalén con el don del Espíritu a los Doce y a los demás discípulos, alcanza progresivamente la Samaria, la Siria (Antioquia), el Asia Menor, la Grecia y hasta Roma, centro del imperio. A entrevés de Pedro y Pablo, el mundo judío y el pagano escuchan el anuncio de Cristo y su reino: quien lo acoge, de cualquier raza que sea, se convierte en miembro del pueblo de Dio, la Iglesia, en una real continuidad entre la promesa confiada y Israel y el su cumplimiento en el mismo Israel y en los pueblos paganos. El tercer Evangelio y los Hechos fueron escritos por Lucas probablemente al rededor del año 80 d.C."
