En el ámbito de la literatura juánica entra también el libro del Apocalipsis. El Apocalipsis es un libro escrito durante una persecución a los cristianos (probablemente bajo el imperador Domiciano, es decir, hacia el 95 d.C.) y sirve para animar con la prospectiva de la victoria final del bien sobre el mal, de Cristo y de los suyos sobre los enemigos de la fe.
