The eschatological discourse abounds with myths and imagery in all religions. .

The religion of the Bible makes no exception, for example, with the Book of the Prophet Ezekiel in the Old Testament and the Book of Revelation in the New Testament

.

Jesus himself inherited and adopted this language.

Whenever the Biblical exegesis and the theological discourse focus on eschatology, although its essence is hard to define, this subject leaves more space for creativity.

.

Notwithstanding the positive doctrine of the Magisterium of the Church, this subject remains unclear and inexact. The Church indicates the limits, and it also shows faithfuls the way.

A model of the above is the Letter written by the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith on May 17 1979 on "Some Theological Problems on Eschatology". This Document concerns Christian death and the final resurrection. It develops this subject into 7 points, one of which is strictly related to the Resurrection of the Flesh.

.

Some questions arise:

What is My Flesh ?

Will my present Flesh resurrect?

Does my Flesh not imply the strong bonds of unity and solidarity, which unite me to Christ, to the Others, and to all that binds me to the Universe?

How can all this be completely separated from my flesh?

Is it perhaps improper to say that one’s Flesh is but the compendium of our relational bond with Christ, with the Others and with the Universe?

In regard to the Resurrection of the Flesh, does eschatology not mention also what "has been" and what "is to come"?

From this perspective, Christian faith in the Resurrection of the Flesh takes on a broader meaning.

We may therefore assert that the glorious Parousia of Christ, the Resurrection of the Flesh, the New Earth and Skies, are nothing but the Christological –Human and Cosmological manifestation of the fullness of Redemption. As a close and intimate bond of solidarity unites Christ, Mankind and the Universe. .

<Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth. The former heaven and the former earth had passed away, and the sea was no more. 2

I also saw the holy city, a new Jerusalem, 3coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.

I heard a loud voice from the throne saying,

"Behold, God's dwelling is with the human race.

He will dwell with them

and they will be his people

4 and God himself will always be with them (as their God).>

(Rev.21; 1-3))

This is par excellence what we Chinese call "Da Tuan Yuan", that is, "The Big Circular Union" of Sky-Earth-Man.

This concept corresponds to what S.Paul affirms in the First Letter to the Corinthians:

"When everything is subjected to him, then the Son himself will (also) be subjected to the one who subjected everything to him, so that God may be all in all".(I Cor. 15;28),

Only that Paul, in his theological discourse, does not use the image of the "Big Union(=Reunion)", so full of joy and celebration.

. In this perspective of the "Big Circular Union of Sky-Earth-Man" can we comprehend the true and profound meaning of the Resurrection of the Flesh.
